Shelby was a May bride from 2021 and she found me as vendor referral from her venue, The Cool Springs House in Brentwood. We set up a trial run in early March to see what kind of look she was going for. She told me in an email prior to our appointment that she wanted something on the glam side without it feeling "too drag". I understand what she was meaning, but I hate that this is the negative image people get when makeup goes wrong. Drag queens know how to SLAY their makeup. Yes, it's SO MUCH in real life, but it's still phenomenal makeup. So how about we find some different wording that isn't so negative, hmm? I'll step down from my soapbox now. Lol.
Here are the makeup products that I used for Shelby's fab makeup look. There are always different variations of what glam means to different people. So I will usually ask several questions before I get going to make sure we're on the same page.

Nars radiant longwear foundation in Gobi and one squirt of Yukon (maybe use one shade lighter to custom mix), Elf hydrating camo concealer in Fair Warm, Maybelline FitMe translucent powder, Benefit Hoola bronzer, Sydney Grace blush in Peaches and Cream, Benefit Cookie highlight, Morphe brow pencil in Mocha, ABH Modern Renaissance palette on the eyes, KVD super pomade in Graphite with a wing, waterproof mascara, Kiss Sequin lashes, and ColourPop lip liner in Lumiere blended with Morphe matte lipstick in Wifey
On the day of the wedding, Shelby decided that she'd rather do more of a half-up hairstyle instead of this more simple pin on just one side. I definitely think it worked in her favor because not much detail shows up with dark hair. So with her new decision for the half-up, you could see more movement.
