Sarah and Kacey met on Bumble and I swear I hear more and more success stories from that dating app specifically. Dating apps were not that prevalent when I was still on the market, so I could not imagine trying them out now in my mid-30s. She found me online when searching for a hair and makeup artist for her November 2020 wedding. That time of year isn't too packed, so I was available and loved that she reached out to me to work the wedding.
Temptu s/b airbrush foundation in no4&6 mixed, ColourPop pretty fresh concealer in Light45W (use a shade darker next time), Laura Mercier translucent powder to set Benefit Hoola bronzer Sydney Grace blush in Peaches n Cream and highlight in Mauve Moment, ColourPop brow pencil in Bangin' Brunette, ColourPop Bare Necessities palette on the eyes (vanilla shimmer and light tan only), Inglot black gel liner, mascara, Kiss Shy lashes, and ColourPop lip liner in Beeper topped with ColourPop lippie stix in Lumiere.
Sarah's wedding was interesting, to say the least, because the Mayor of Nashville announced the week of her wedding an 8 person minimum restriction for the upcoming Thanksgiving weekend. They made those restrictions for personal gatherings and they were never meant to be applied towards events like weddings, but their hotel decided to follow these particular rules. And every last minute, it made Sarah rearrange everything to where she was only allowed 6 family members because the photographers had to be included with those. I felt so bad for her, but I was still grateful because I was still able to do hair and makeup for her, her mom, and her MIL. They put on an optimistic face and continued on with their nuptials. Nothing was going to stop them from getting married!
I was wayyyy behind requesting wedding photos from her photographer, so I'm just now getting a chance to upload them to my website, over a year and a half later (oopsies).
