Sam moved down here from the Chicago area and met Nick here. She slowly convinced her family to move down as well, so she's really happy she's living close with them again. She's getting married in early October and was checking out different hair and makeup teams. I usually require my brides to book me before setting up a trial run, but with how hectic 2020 has been with Covid and weddings, I have been letting that slide. Trial runs aren't meant to try out your wedding artist, it's meant for you to try out your wedding hair and makeup look. Regardless of that, we met and did the makeup trial run first and after following up with her, she said she really liked it all, so we booked. YAY! We set up another date to try out her hair.
Here is a list of the makeup products we used during the trial run in case anyone out there is curious about that kind of thing. This is also the place where I leave notes on what I use on my brides, acting like my notebook, and I can reference it when the wedding day rolls around. Typically trial runs are close enough to the wedding days that I remember, but every now and then they're more than 6 months apart and I see way too many people for my brain to be THAT good.
Products used:
Temptu s/b airbrush foundation in no6, ColourPop no filter concealer in Medium 22, RCMA no color powder to set, Mac Swiss Chocolate to bronze and Mac Peaches blush, no highlight, ColourPop brow pencil in Dope Taupe, ColourPop Give It To Me Straight palette on the eyes, Inglot #77 black gel liner, random waterproof mascara, Kiss Shy lashes, and either ColourPop lippie stix in Lumiere or Morphe matte lipstick in Fling.
The next images look very similar, but I was posting both so the bride and anyone else could see the difference in the two lip colors. Sam ended up choosing the shade called Fling, which was the darker of the two shades. We also did the hair and makeup on two separate dates in case the next photos throw you off with her in two different tops. Lol.
Now that we're on to the wedding day before-and-after images, here is the first bridesmaid makeup by me.
Here is another makeup by me.
I finally got an email from Sam with a link to the weddings photos, so I've got some to show off. I always LOVE sharing wedding photos.
