Rachel + Grant

Rachel and I met last summer during the thick of Covid. She found my company online and told me she wanted to book basically right away after seeing my portfolio work as well as my reviews. It means A LOT when I hear that from a potential client. I want my website to be accessible to that kind of thing. It should be an easy decision based on stuff like that when hiring vendors for special events like a wedding. So we met in June for a trial run for Rachel's hair and makeup. It was the day she had set up to do their engagement photos and it was the perfect opportunity to try out the look.

Her fiance's name is Grant and they met about 6 years ago and have been engaged for a year. I love that they chose a fun date like 10.10.20 for their wedding date. My husband and I did the same thing and ours was 1.1.11 annnnd I'm a dork for admitting my love for cheesy dates. Anywho, Rachel is a teacher and I give her mad props for continuing her passion during a stressful time like Covid. There are tons of teachers giving up their teaching careers because it's very difficult right now.

Below is a list of makeup products I used for Rachel's look. She didn't have all that much hair to work with, but you work with what you got. There was enough for a gorge half-up style as well as some braids. I love it!

Products used:

Temptu s/b airbrush foundation in no1, ColourPop pretty fresh concealer in Light15W, RCMA no color powder to set, ColourPop bronzer in CA Dreaming, ColourPop blush in Excuse My French, ColourPop highlight in Dreamscape, ColourPop brow pencil in Champagne Blonde, MAC pigment in Vanilla on the lids only, Sydney Grace shadows on the eyes, Inglot black gel liner (no wing), mascara, Kiss Shy lashes, and ColourPop lip liner in Oh Snap topped with some basic gloss.

On the wedding day, I made some minor adjustments, being I mixed a little bit warmer of a foundation shade so she's not quite so literal-white, and I chose a pinkier shade of lip color.

And here are some before-and-after pics from the wedding day.

Okayyyy, so some of those photos have gotten mixed up when I uploaded them for whatever reason, but I'm being lazy and I'm leaving them that way. Haha.

Rachel sent me some wedding photos and I'm really happy to be able to post some here for you all! It was such a pleasure working with her and her group of ladies. And I was also thrilled to have Andrea assisting me that day.
