Miss B came in to see Kristen Fonville a few weeks ago for her very first boudoir photo shoot. She does have a significant other but decided this was something she wanted to do for herself because there are times where we don't see our own kind of beautiful. She also wanted to challenge herself to do something way outside her comfort zone. Like why not, right?! There's no time like the present.
Below is a list of makeup products that I used for Miss B and I curled her hair using a flat iron so that we could keep as much length as possible -- in case there's anyone out there wanting to know that kind of info. Haha.
Products used:
Nars radiant longwear foundation in Sahel and Barcelona custom mixed, ColourPop pretty fresh concealer in Medium90W, Laura Mercier translucent powder to set, Benefit Hoola bronzer, Sydney Grace blush in Georgia Peach, no highlight, Morphe brow pencil in Biscotti, Sydney Grace shadows on the eyes, random brown liner, mascara, Kiss 11 lashes, and ColourPop lip liner in BFF topped with Morphe gloss in Boho.
I got word from Kristen today that Miss B signed a model release so I'm pretty excited to be sharing a few of her images with the world! Here is something she said in our boudie facebook group:
"My transitioning from 24 years of army combat boots to stilettos was a challenge! After taking a little bit of time to wrap my mind around seeing my photos last week with Kristen, I will have to say my, I've been blown away by her amazing talent. It was a huge challenge to narrow it down to 25! Kristen has a way of bringing out the best in you. In my 54 years, I can say this is the first time I remember actually feeling beautiful. This process has been an emotional roller coaster but well worth the journey and investment! I cannot wait for my album to arrive. Lesson learned -- You cannot find your self worth and beauty from others, it comes from within!!"
