Maddie reached out to me in 2022 when she was searching for a hair and makeup artist for her early 2023 wedding. I was available, so I responded back pretty quickly. She found me because I have done her sister's hair and makeup in the past and loved it then, and knew it was an easy decision to reach out to me again. We set up a trial run and that really let me in on what kind of skin she's got and how makeup will sit on there as well as how her hair holds with certain styles. I don't always require my brides to book a trial, but it's an added bonus when we have already done one and the wedding day is SO easy. Also on the flip side, if you're an easy going bride, I have worked plenty of weddings where I've met the bride on that day and it's gone just as smoothly.
Here is a breakdown of the products I used for Maddie's face in case anyone is interested.
Products used:
Charlotte Tilbury airbrush flawless foundation in 3 neutral used as base and concealer, Laura Mercier translucent powder, Sephora Neutral Mocha bronzer, Mac Peaches blush, Kylie Iced Out highlighter, ColourPop brow pencil in Dope Taupe, Sydney Grace shadows on the eyes (gold on lids with wet brush, 2 light browns in crease, cocoa bear in outer thirds with lighter dark brow too, KVD super pomade in Graphite as the liner with a baby wing, already had lash extensions so I didn't need to add falsies nor did she want any lower mascara, and ColourPop lip liner in BFF topped with Mac lipstick in Yash
Here are some wedding day before-and-after pics that I managed to remember to take. I am usually pretty good at remembering, but ever now and then I forget someone. So for this wedding day, I didn't snap a pic of the bride again since I had already taken her picture from the trial run. But I do have these lovely ladies below.
Yay! While I absolutely love showing off my before-and-afters of hair and/or makeup, I love even more seeing the images from the professional photographer. Their photographer, Rachel, is amazing at what she does and I've got some images to share from Maddie's wedding. Wishing nothing but the best to Maddie and Matt in their new chapter as husband and wife!
