Mackenzie + Daniel
I met Mackenzie through a mutual friend, who also happens to be a wedding photographer that I know and ALSO a close friend of Mackenzie's. Since that friend and I had worked several weddings together, when it came time for Mackenzie to get married, she knew I was the person to refer her to for hair and makeup. So Mackenzie and I met at her parents' rental home (thanks Nashville tornado 2020) for her preview session back in June. She told me she wanted something super fresh, something that would go with a minimal type of color scheme.
These are the products I used to complete her makeup look in case someone out there is wondering. And I curled her hair using a 1" curling iron. Below are some photos.
Frankie Rose Primer Addiction, Nars radiant longwear foundation in Punjab, ColourPop pretty fresh concealer in Light45W making sure to keep the freckles showing, RCMA no color powder to set, Benefit Hoola bronzer, ColourPop blush in My Sun and My Stars, ColourPop super shock highlight in Flexitarian (wanting a super glowy feel), Morphe brow pencil in Latte, Sydney Grace shadows on the eyes, brown shadow liner smudged with brush on upper lash liner and tight lined on top too, individual cluster lashes, and ColourPop liquid lipstick in Magic Wand.
When it came time for the wedding day, I noticed that Mackenzie had her hair in her natural form, which is curly, and not blown out like it was at the time of her preview session. It made me a little concerned with timing. PLUS, I do not carry my blow dryer for blowouts because we have to be as efficient with timing as possible on a wedding day. But then she told me she preferred to work with her natural texture, so no blowout was needed. She also told me that she decided not to wear any type of falsies, so that changed as well.
I did get word from her that the wedding photos were ready and she was happy to share some with me.
