Kimberly + Marty

Kimberly is a childhood friend of mine from when my family used to live in Chattanooga. She was few years older than me and she actually was the trusted "babysitter" for our family, even though we were old enough to stay home alone. Our families went to the same church so we were around each other 24/7. She reached out to me about doing her makeup for her wedding and I couldn't say no. Her wedding was a long time coming and I was honored to be a small part of it.

She came in to Nashville earlier in the year to do a trial run and below are the products I used in case anyone is interested in that kind of thing.

Products used:

Nars radiant longwear foundation in Gobi used as base and concealer, Maybelline FitMe translucent powder to set, Benefit Hoola bronzer, Sydney Grace blush in Peaches & Cream and highlight in Golden Wonder, Morphe brow pencil in Hazelnut, ColourPop Bare Necessities palette on the eyes, Inglot black gel liner, mascara, Kiss Shy lashes, and ColourPop lip liner in Obvi topped with Maybelline lifter gloss in Silk.

And here are some before-and-after photos of the makeup I did on her wedding day.

On the actual wedding day, Kimberly told me that her trial run felt heavy, so we needed to go even lighter. She NEVER wears makeup, and while I did go lighter, it wasn't quite as light as she'd like it. So we made those adjustments and I think it turned out beautifully!

I do know that she had to change wedding plans several times due to Covid and in the end, she had to go with more of a micro wedding in Chattanooga. In the end, does it even really matter? Because you're marrying your best friend and that's the most important part.
