I met Alyssa back in January 2021 for her trial run for her wedding day hair and makeup. She found me on Wedding Wire (back when I still used that platform) and we quickly got to chatting. I believe she was wanting to set up a trial earlier rather than later just in case things went poorly and then she'd have time to book someone else by the time September rolled around. But luckily for us, things DID go smoothly and we worked together again on her wedding day in early September. I always like to get to know the brides I work with and I found out that Alyssa and her fiancé, Tom, met in school and they kept "running into each other". It was never an immediate suggestion to date each other, but they would see each other at group gatherings and out at social events and eventually dating was the natural thing to do. I love hearing about everyone's love stories and how it all began.
Here are the products I used for her trial run. I always ask my brides to take all the pics and admire yourself the day of your trial run, but then don't look at those pics the next day. Like, at all. Then the second day, check them out again and you can really nitpick with any changes you may want to make. A fresh set of eyes is ideal in this situation.
Products used:
Temptu s/b airbrush foundation in no2 (but color match again bc she’ll be tanned in sept), elf hydrating camo concealer in Fair Warm, Maybelline FitMe translucent powder, Benefit Hoola bronzer, Sydney Grace blush in Peaches & Cream and highlight in Rhythm, Morphe brow pencil in Hazelnut, ColourPop Bare Necessities palette on the eyes (first metallic shade, light brown and dark brown plus vanilla shimmer on inner corners and brow bone), KVD super pomade in Graphite, waterproof mascara, Kiss no11 lashes, and ColourPop lip liner in BFF topped with Morphe matte lipstick in Wifey.
And here are some wedding day "before-and-after" pics I took of the makeups I did that day. I also styled some hair that day aside from Alyssa's, but I'm AWFUL at remembering to take pictures of hair.
