Google's Most Popular Beauty Searches 2018 - Part 2
Now on to PART 2! If you missed Part 1, click HERE to read.
I'm continuing my review on the Top 10 Trending searches on Google per categories. These are the Most Popular Beauty Searches for 2018.
1. How to apply magnetic lashes
2. What is a lash lift
3. How to remove individual eyelashes
4. What hair color looks best on me
5. How to do a cat eye
6. How to take off makeup without makeup wipes
7. How to apply aloe vera
8. How to glue down eyebrows
9. How to fix cakey makeup
10. What concealer to use
6. How to take off makeup without makeup wipes
Again, I feel like I'm wanting to give all the eye-rolling emojis with this particular search, but if someone is a baby to the beauty world, maybe they're just wanting to get the best and easiest experience with it all.
For the longest, I used a makeup wipe to remove my makeup --even sometimes using two -- and then I would go in and wash my face and use whatever products needed to complete the job. BUT, if you hate using wipes or you break out because of certain ingredients in the solution that the wipes are soaked in, I've found the holy grail of face cleansers. Oh, you think I'm joking, do you??

This is the Green Clean makeup meltaway cleansing balm by Farmacy. I was first introduced to this brand because I got this exact product in my Boxycharm a few months ago. I gave it a shot and fell in love. You apply it to your dry face, the balm turns into an oil as you begin massaging it into your skin and it literally melts away any makeup. I've used it to remove a cake-face, glitter, some tricky Lipsense and it got it all off. I have no affiliations with this brand, I just love it that much.
7. How to apply aloe vera
Um, whaaaat? I'm going to keep this one short and sweet. You apply it on your skin by rubbing it in. That's it. Maybe this search was implying why you need to apply it too, I'm not sure. In that case, there are tons of nutrients in aloe vera that will benefit your hair, skin, even nails. You can even drink it to help aid in weight loss.
Here's an article with more information.
8. How to glue down eyebrows
This one is an odd search to hear as well. They've got to mean how to get your brows to stay in place, right?! Like, I'm really hoping there's not someone out that using actual glue on their brows. Please, Lord.
Most all clear eyebrow gels have the same ingredients. No, I'm not going to list them, but you can look them up for yourselves. I don't personally have unruly brows, but if you fall in that category, it's no biggie, just find a clear gel and it'll help keep those puppies in place.
I don't consider this to be a makeup product that needs to be high-end, so you will still have great results if you buy from NYX just as easily if you buy from Anastasia Beverly Hills. I personally use clear brow gel from ColourPop.
Something to keep in mind is if you're the makeup user who prefers a brow tint, you apply it with a mini brow spooly and that product already has the gel in it to keep everything in place. So you won't need two products to get it done.
9. How to fix cakey makeup
Well,
10. What concealer to use
I feel like this Google search should have been WAY higher than number ten because this is a popular question I get from clients ALL the time.
Asking that simple question has many possible answers. Finding your right concealer all depends on if your skin type is oily, dry or combo. It also depends on the coverage you want. Do you want something more full coverage or something lighter but still covers any circles?
A cult favorite for tons of beauty enthusiasts is Tarte Shape Tape.

It's full coverage, comes in lots of skin tones, and is overall a GREAT find. But, if you have overly dry skin, this one isn't for you.
If you're on a tight budget, a great drugstore find is NYX HD studio concealer. I find it to be just as covering, but at a fraction of Shape Tape. "Das espensive" as Kathleen Lights says. Lol.

These are a few of my favorites. But again, please keep in mind that we probably have different skin types. What works on me might not work on you. You can always ask for samples at Sephora to try them out before buying a full tube and end up hating it. My skin type is combo but can be more dry in the winter.
1. Drugstore find - L'Oreal Pro Glow concealer
L'Oreal is seriously one of my favorite, if not THE favorite, drugstore makeup brand that I'll probably always have in my bag. And if you haven't tried the Pro Glow foundation, what are you waiting for?! It's my version of flawless and I'm dead serious!

2. Medium price find - NARS radiant creamy concealer
I love love LOVE this concealer and will break it out of my bag when I'm needing that little bit of extra coverage. And the title says it all. It's not too dry, goes on smooth, and has very little creasing. But you can catch that early if you use powder on top. I use this one TON in my bridal makeup kit.

3. High end find - It's tied between two --> YSL All Hours full coverage concealer and Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away concealer. I don't reach for these that often, but will when I'm feeling extra boujie. I've only gotten these in sample size for myself but have bought a few colors for my kit and they apply like a dream. I can't seem to always be okay with them because of the prices when I know less expensive ones do the job just as well.

So what do you think of these year-end Google beauty searches?? Anything you've been searching a lot and need more answers? Anyone reading is more than welcome to shoot me a message and I'm more than happy to give you any/all the advice!
Cheers to 2019 and here's hoping we learn more about our skin, makeup products and their ingredients. Let's get educated together!!
