Melanie + Phillip
Mel reached out to me after her original makeup artist had to back out last minute and that artist referred Mel to me. And considering it was an end of May wedding and she called in April, I was thrilled to still be open! So we quickly scheduled a trial run on the day of her bridal portraits and it was a very requested bridal look.
To anyone reading this, one thing to keep in mind when recreating makeup you see online is that those looks are pretty heavy/dramatic. They can still be natural colors, but usually are emphasized so that the camera can capture them without any of the colors disappearing once they begin their editing on the back end.
The look we tried out was gorgeous, but the brown winged liner was smoked out or a little blurred looking. The trial and sneak peek photos below show that. And while she told me she loved the look, it felt a little too heavy for her, so we toned it down on the wedding day. Did it hurt my feelings? Nope. This is all about you, not me! I can try out any look you want, but with my suggestions, I think we can modify it to your own personal image. We don't have to replicate something we see on Pinterest because you don't look like that. You are uniquely yourself and the artist you hire on your big day should know how to tweak the tiniest details if needed to get your perfect look.
Temptu airbrush s/b foundation no1&3 mixed, NYX pro hd concealer in Light, RCMA no color powder to set, Tarte Park Ave Princess bronzer palette, NYX sweet cheeks blush palette (pinks), tiny bit of ABH Amrezy highlight, barely any ABH blonde brow wiz, UD naked basics palette on the eyes (light brown and shimmer color), Mac Coffee liner smoked out with light brown shadow, mascara, Kiss Pixie lashes, Chanel natural liner topped with Bobbi Brown Sandwash Pink lipstick.
And while I wait on more photos from the photographer, here are the pictures of makeup I did on the bridesmaids and Mel's mom from the wedding day.
*EDIT* As of 6.26.18, I saw some photos posted on Mel's facebook page of the wedding, so I had to snag them, DUH. The photographer for the day was Eden Ingle Photography and not all of the photos are done, but here's a few to enjoy.
