Simon & Ruby

I love it when you are friends with photographers in the same city as you. It doesn't always work in my case that I work often with Chelsea, considering I hadn't worked with her in 2+ years, but it was great catching up during this photo shoot. Simon & Ruby is a jewelry company in Nashville and was launching a new collection called the Hanalei collection and it's all handcrafted pieces inspired by Hawaii.

We met at a plant shop in East Nashville called Flora and used their plants as props. I had worked with one of the models, Janice, before, but I had not worked with Katherine yet. They were so much fun to hang out with doing their hair and makeup before they jumped into their numerous outfits. We kept hair and makeup pretty low key -- or at least compared to the color I like to throw on people -- because the jewelry was on center stage.
