Miss M

I've finally gotten the opportunity to provide hair and makeup for something other than weddings. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE doing it for weddings. But since the season is starting to dwindle down, I've been reaching out to a ton of photographers to see if they need me for any of their photo shoots. A fellow MUA friend of mine, Brie Beckman, texted me recently and asked if I could fill in for her to do hair and makeup for a boudoir photo shoot with Kristen Fonville Photography. And duh, I said yes!

Miss M was a woman who longed to have this type of photo shoot. It was a surprise for her bae and when her girlfriends gawked at the idea of them doing something like this, she said "Here, hold my beer."

I loved her confidence in this shoot! Here is a quote from her:

"I’ve always been self conscious about my weight. I’ve been dragged down by so many people because I’m a bigger girl. So, booking the session had me a little nervous. I guess in the back of my mind I couldn’t help but think that it was going to be uncomfortable having someone take pictures of me in my underwear. But, it’s actually pretty easy. In fact I was a lot more comfortable than I thought I would be. Kristen makes it so easy to just be you. There’s no judgement, no awkward moments. Just you feeling beautiful and sexy. It’s so much fun!"

For makeup, we used MAC Cosmetics waterproof liquid foundation in NC20, NYX Pro HD concealer in light, RCMA no-color powder, LORAC bronzer, MAC Melba blush and Soft & Gentle highlight, ColourPop Dope Taupe brow pencil, LORAC Unzipped shadows on the eyes, black liner and mascara, Ardell Wispie lashes and MAC Whirl lip liner topped with Tom Ford Blush Nude lipstick.
